Flagship programme

A practical workforce platform for modern agriculture.

The Elizabeth Aframoah Fori Dwumah AgriMech Academy is being developed as the Foundation’s flagship initiative. It is intended to connect technical instruction, workshop and field exposure, employers, apprenticeships and enterprise pathways.

Current status

The Academy and its curriculum are in development. Enrolment is not open. Intake will be announced once the relevant programme, qualification and accreditation arrangements are confirmed.

Mechanisation

Safe tractor and equipment operation, implements and field support.

Diagnostics & maintenance

Engines, hydraulics, electrics, preventive care and workshop discipline.

Irrigation & water

Pumps, filters, valves, scheduling, troubleshooting and maintenance.

Post-harvest

Drying, storage, processing exposure, handling and quality practices.

Logistics & enterprise

Inventory, dispatch, service contracting and business literacy.

Place and purpose

Rooted in the Afram Plains.

The Academy is being developed in Boakye, Kwahu Afram Plains South. Proximity to QAD Agro Limited’s developing platform could enable learning around real operating systems as those assets and suitable training arrangements come into place.

The Academy honours Elizabeth Aframoah Fori Dwumah, Honorary Patron of QAD Foundation. Her agricultural heritage, legal career and public service inform its values of discipline, opportunity and institution-building.
