Who we are
A public-benefit institution for rural opportunity.
QAD Foundation is the website name of QAD Agro Foundation Limited by Guarantee, a Ghanaian public-benefit institution. Its registered objects address employment, agricultural skills, worker capability, productivity, sustainability and training. It is developing an operating model focused on the people required for more productive and inclusive agrifood systems.
The Foundation was incorporated in Ghana on 27 June 2023. Its programmes and institutional systems are being developed in phases.
Why we exist
Skills are infrastructure too.
Land, equipment, finance and technology only deliver their promise when people know how to operate, maintain and improve the systems around them. The Foundation aims to connect technical capability with real demand across farms, processors, equipment businesses and rural services.
In the QAD ecosystem
Distinct purpose. Connected learning environment.
QAD Agro Limited is a separate commercial agricultural company. Its developing platform in the Afram Plains may provide practical exposure to field operations, machinery, irrigation and post-harvest systems. The Foundation’s public-benefit mandate serves the wider agricultural ecosystem, with its own legal identity and governance.
